Joshua (Rough Draft)
I can’t believe my youngest son Joshua Dallas Hofacker, yes named after my favorite football team, is getting to graduate. Josh has made me proud during his senior year of high school. I remember bac in 1979, I took the easieat classes I could find. Josh did not choose that pathway. Instead took AP psch, Ap bio, biomedical calculsa and Dual Enrollemnt English. I am proud he pushes himself. We are alike in one way we were both on the homecoming court. That brought make some old memories. It was very fun seeing him in the parade surrounded by his friends. His senior year has flown by, in part because he is always busy with NHS and MHS. Almost every week or weekend, Josh has had club meetings or volunteering at various events. I was very proud when he decided to become an officer for NHS because he tends to be shy and hates public speaking. Once again, trying to overcome what he considers his weak points. This summer will be josh’s fifth time for being a volunteer for Asp repairing home for the extreme poor. I believe he is traveling to Kentuc this year. Josh had to make a big decision on which college to attend next year. I really wanted him to attend ODU, but he was between Va tech and JMU. In the end JMU was his choice and he will be a member of the honors college there. His dedication to Asp will continue throughout coolge incorperaing it into his senior project. Josh is a great son and I will miss him when he is away to college.
Joshua's Senior Year
I cannot believe my youngest son Joshua Dallas Hofacker, yes named after my favorite football team, is getting ready to graduate. Josh has made me proud during his senior year of high school. I remember back in 1979, I took the easiest classes I could find as a senior. Josh did not choose that pathway. Instead, took AP Psychology, AP Biology, Biomedical Calculus and Dual Enrollment English. I am proud he pushes himself. We are alike in one way we were both on the homecoming court. That brought make some old memories. It was very fun seeing him in the parade surrounded by his friends. His senior year has flown by, in part because he is always busy with National Honor Society and the Medical Honor Society. I was very proud when he decided to become an officer for NHS because he tends to be shy and hates public speaking. Once again, trying to overcome what he considers his weak points. This summer will be josh’s fifth time for being a volunteer for Appalachia Service Project repairing home for the extreme poor. I believe he is traveling to Kentucky this year. Josh had to make a hard decision on which college to attend next year. I really wanted him to attend ODU, but he was between Virginia Tech and James Madison University. In the end JMU was his choice. Josh will be a member of the honors college and will pursue a degree in health science and pre-med. His dedication to ASP will continue throughout college incorporating it into his senior honor’s project. Josh is a great son and I will miss him when he is away to college.
